[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 3rd that 72 of our startups were finally selected as tenant companies in the 'Amazon Launchpad and Domestic Startups 1-on-1 Meetup.'
Amazon Launchpad exclusively hosts innovative idea products and eco-friendly certified products within Amazon, providing focused marketing and sales support. Since 2020, the Trade Association has been conducting annual 1-on-1 meetups with Amazon's U.S. headquarters to enable our startups to enter Amazon Launchpad.
Especially this year, not only Amazon U.S. but also Amazon Europe proposed first to introduce Korean startups' idea products, and the number of selected startups nearly doubled compared to last year.
Through the meetup with Amazon, ThreeEye's smartphone filming equipment Pivo, which succeeded in entering Launchpad in 2020, recorded sales of $1 million within one year of entry and was inducted into the 'Stage Two,' a top seller club. MangoSlab's smart printer Nemonic also recorded monthly sales of $50,000 just eight months after entry, with sales increasing tenfold compared to the same month last year, and succeeded in exporting to six European countries.
Park Pil-jae, head of the Startup Overseas Expansion Office at the Trade Association, said, "We also prepared opportunities to share the know-how of senior companies such as Salted and Wellscare to achieve sales results after entry," adding, "We will continue to support our innovative startups to actively enter overseas markets."
