[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Geumcheon-gu District Office (Mayor Yuseong Hoon) announced on the 25th that the Korea Transportation Disabled Association (President Song Byungheon) donated 20,000 dental masks (worth 1.1 million KRW).

The donation ceremony was held at 4 p.m. on the same day in the small conference room of Geumcheon-gu Office, and the donated items will be distributed to low-income disabled households through the local community centers.

Since 2012, the Korea Transportation Disabled Association has been working to improve the welfare and rights of transportation-disabled people through educational programs for the independence of traffic accident disabled persons, campaigns to reduce traffic accidents, support movements for families of transportation-disabled persons, and scholarship programs for traffic accident disabled individuals.

President Song Byungheon said, "I wanted to help low-income disabled people who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, even if just a little," and added, "Although the quantity is small, I hope our warm hearts are conveyed."

Mayor Yuseong Hoon of Geumcheon-gu said, "Thank you for practicing sharing every year for the disabled in Geumcheon-gu. We will make sure the donated items are properly delivered."
