The county stated, "In terms of sales, it has reached about 1 billion KRW. Considering that during the COVID-19 social distancing period only 50% of the monorail capacity was allowed, and just a month ago during the Hamyang Sansam Anti-Aging Expo it was switched to 100%, this is a significant achievement."
A county official said, "Daebongsan Healing Valley, equipped with the longest monorail and zipline in the country, is driving Hamyang's tourism industry. Achieving 1 billion KRW in sales within half a year of opening indicates a high level of economic viability sufficient to cover operating costs, which contrasts with many similar nationwide recreational facilities that continue to operate at a loss."
The county mentioned that on public holidays, many visitors are unable to experience the monorail and zipline due to early sell-outs of boarding tickets, and they are considering increasing the number of rides and adjusting the operating system. They also plan to benchmark famous domestic facilities and develop and enhance derivative products and related content to provide more attractions and entertainment in the future.
