[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The Blue House stated that it is "not a matter to be specially mentioned" regarding the Supreme Court's acquittal ruling on former Broadcasting Culture Promotion Foundation Chairman Go Young-ju, who had claimed that President Moon Jae-in was a 'communist.'

A Blue House official responded to reporters' questions during a briefing on the 17th, saying, "I think the court's decision is not something to be specially commented on."

Former Chairman Go was convicted in the second trial for defamation against President Moon, but on the 16th, the Supreme Court overturned and remanded the original ruling.

Regarding the National Human Rights Commission's expression of concern about the 'restriction of press freedom' over some provisions of the amended Media Arbitration Act on the same day, the Blue House said, "I understand that it is continuously being reviewed additionally through the National Assembly consultative body," and added, "Since both press freedom and victim relief are important, we hope that a national consensus can be formed on this matter."
