Imsil-gun Launches Tourist Attraction Promotion to Attract Visitors

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk Province (Governor Shim Min) has launched aggressive promotional marketing for key tourist attractions such as Okjeongho Lake and Imsil Cheese Theme Park.

According to the county on the 17th, they are attracting tourists by promoting major tourist sites including Okjeongho Lake and Imsil Cheese Theme Park, which have gained momentum through the Seomjingang Eco Museum project, Osu An-gyeon Tourist Site, a pet-friendly safe tourism destination, Seongsusan Mountain, famous for the founding legends of the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties, and Saseondae, a national tourist site.

They are also continuously promoting local tourism resources and events in collaboration with Jeonbuk Province and the Korea Tourism Organization.

Currently, at Osu An-gyeon Tourist Site, car camping with pets sponsored by the Korea Tourism Organization is underway. It is held four times every weekend throughout this month, attracting pet owners nationwide who enjoy camping with their pets.

The county recently participated in the 7th China Western International Tourism Expo held in Chongqing, China, to promote Imsil-gun.

This was the first overseas local promotional marketing event jointly participated by Jeonbuk Province and 14 cities and counties, marking a proactive marketing effort to attract tourists to Jeonbuk after COVID-19.

The promotional booth was organized with four seasonal themes featuring representative tourist attractions such as Imsil Cheese Theme Park and Okjeongho Lake, experience programs, and food, which has led to continuous inquiries from Chinese tourists.

On the 25th and 26th, they will also participate in the ‘2021 Jeonbuk Travel Mart’ held at Sunchang National Sports Center and other venues.

At this event hosted by Jeonbuk Province, 14 cities and counties, and the Jeonbuk branch of the Korea Tourism Organization, the county plans to conduct tourism briefings and consultations to fully showcase the unique tourism appeal of Imsil-gun.

They will also participate in the ‘K-Glocal Camping Festival’ to be held on the 2nd and 3rd of next month at Gunsan Cheongamsan Auto Camping Site, actively promoting the county’s tourism appeal through domestic and international SNS, including foreign influencers.

This event, hosted by Jeonbuk Province, is expected to be a great opportunity for global tourism effects as it involves about 70 foreign influencers and overseas travel agencies.

The county plans to attract tourists through tourism briefings and consultations by participating in the Jeonbuk Travel Mart and the K-Glocal Festival with foreigners, and will continue promotion and marketing so that not only domestic but also foreign visitors can participate in the ‘Imsil N Cheese Festival’ scheduled for this fall.

Governor Shim Min said, “Through continuous promotion of key tourist sites such as Okjeongho Lake and Imsil Cheese Theme Park, we will make Imsil a place visited by many people not only nationwide but also from abroad,” and added, “We will devote all efforts to expanding the tourism market in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.”
