Bilateral Talks Scheduled with the UK, Australia, and Others... Departing Airport Welcomed by UK Honor Guard
[(Cornwall) = Blue House Joint Press Corps] President Moon Jae-in arrived in Cornwall, United Kingdom, where the Group of Seven (G7) summit is being held, on the afternoon of the 11th (local time).
President Moon is scheduled to attend the G7 summit sessions on the 12th and 13th. The G7 summit, consisting of three sections, will focus on discussions about global vaccine response, open societies, and climate change.
President Moon is expected to hold bilateral talks with the United Kingdom, Australia, and the European Union, with the possibility of additional summit meetings also open.
Meanwhile, President Moon arrived at Newquay International Airport in Cornwall after 6 p.m. local time. Ambassador Park Eun-ha, the South Korean ambassador to the UK, was present to welcome him.
In the UK, Jane Hartley, Deputy Lieutenant of Cornwall, Michael John Holloway, Special Representative of the Foreign Office, Martin Albury, local council member, David Harris, local council member, and Derek Thomas, member of parliament, welcomed President Moon.
After exchanging greetings with UK officials, President Moon passed through a guard of honor and boarded his vehicle.
