[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] KS Korea Employment Information Customer Center is settling in Gwangju Metropolitan City.


On the afternoon of the 21st, Gwangju City signed an investment agreement for the customer center at the City Hall Business Room, attended by Mayor Lee Yong-seop and Yoo Jae-jung, CEO of KS Korea Employment Information Co., Ltd.


Through this investment agreement, KS Korea Employment Information Co., Ltd. will establish a new customer center with 100 seats in Gwangju by next month, and Gwangju City will provide administrative and financial support such as investment attraction subsidies for the smooth operation of the customer center.


In particular, KS Korea Employment Information plans to prioritize hiring talent from the Gwangju area, expecting to create about 100 new jobs.


Established in 1998, KS Korea Employment Information Co., Ltd. is a solid company with about 6,097 employees working in Seoul and other locations, and annual sales reaching 191.1 billion KRW, providing services such as call center operation and support, call center construction, and education projects.


The selection of Gwangju as the investment location for the new customer center by KS Korea Employment Information is interpreted as a result of active attraction efforts by Gwangju City and customer center executing organizations, excellent human resources, low rental costs, and differentiated locational conditions such as administrative and financial support.


Mayor Lee Yong-seop said, “I am glad to hear the news of solid jobs during a time when economic activities have been greatly contracted due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and I once again thank you for the plan to prioritize hiring Gwangju citizens,” adding, “I hope KS Korea Employment Information will be a reliable partner on the path of change and innovation in Gwangju, which is becoming the number one economic zone in Korea by creating the best AI ecosystem and being designated as an economic free zone.”


Meanwhile, there are about 7,100 counselors working at 73 customer centers in Gwangju, and Gwangju City is implementing various policies to revitalize customer centers by fostering counselor manpower, healing programs, and improving corporate management efficiency and counselors’ job satisfaction to provide stable jobs.
