[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Jaguar Land Rover Korea announced on the 20th that it will launch the 2021 model of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) equipped with an eco-friendly mild hybrid diesel engine.
The 2021 Range Rover Sport diesel model is equipped with the Ingenium 3.0ℓ I6 turbo diesel engine, replacing the previous V6 diesel engine. It delivers a maximum output of 300 horsepower and a peak torque of 66.3 kg·m, with a zero to 100 km/h acceleration time of 7.3 seconds.
In addition, the latest 48V mild hybrid (MHEV) system is applied to recover and store energy lost during deceleration and reuse it to maximize engine efficiency. Furthermore, the combination of MHEV technology and efficiency improvements reduces carbon dioxide emissions compared to the previous diesel engine, earning RDE2 (Real Driving Emissions 2) and Euro 6d-final certifications.
The Range Rover Sport features an advanced lightweight aluminum monocoque body structure, which is 39% lighter than a steel frame, enhancing fuel efficiency, body rigidity and flexibility, and safety.
The Range Rover Sport is equipped with a fully automatic Terrain Response system that optimizes vehicle settings by adjusting torque distribution to the wheels according to the road surface. It can be set to seven modes: Dynamic, Eco, Comfort, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud and Ruts, Sand, and Rock Crawl.
Additionally, convenience features include adaptive cruise control with steering assist, emergency braking system, lane keeping assist, and an indoor air ionizer that removes fine dust.

The 2021 Range Rover Sport diesel model, with a 3.5% reduction in individual consumption tax applied, is priced at 130.87 million KRW for the D300 HSE Dynamic and 142.77 million KRW for the D300 AB Dynamic.
