After concluding the People's Party Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Ahn met with reporters and said, "I sincerely congratulate Candidate Oh, who was selected as the People Power Party's Seoul mayoral candidate, and Candidate Park Hyung-joon, who was selected as the Busan mayoral candidate," adding, "I hope to discuss constructive cooperation plans through a meeting with Candidate Oh soon."
Ahn said, "The process of selecting a candidate who can win the Seoul mayoral election is the unification process," and added, "I hope this primary will proceed as a competition among collaborators through fair competition," further stating, "If we have constructive debates on visions and pledges going forward, it can arouse the expectations and interest of many citizens."
Regarding the meeting with former Mayor Oh, he said, "I will discuss it," but also stated, "I will meet as soon as possible."
