NCSoft Salary Increase of 10 Million Won Is 'Baseless'

However, in the gaming industry, since Nexon and Netmarble have announced plans to increase salaries by 8 million KRW each, there are predictions that NCSoft will also consider a salary increase soon.

According to the industry on the 17th, there was a report that NCSoft recently convened an emergency board meeting and decided on a 10 million KRW salary increase.

However, an NCSoft official stated, "This is untrue, and no board meeting has been convened," adding, "Salary increases are not matters decided by the board."

NCSoft typically reviews salary increases every year in March or April according to accounting procedures. This year, related work is also expected to begin around March.

The gaming industry predicts that NCSoft will consider a salary increase at the level of or higher than Nexon and Netmarble during next month's salary setting process.

Previously, Nexon and Netmarble announced that starting this year, the starting salary would be raised to 50 million KRW for development positions and 45 million KRW for non-development positions. Additionally, they decided to uniformly increase the salaries of current employees by 8 million KRW.
