3 Sofa Series Including Grandioso M, Prosh, and Plage... "Function and Design Upgraded"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hyundai Livart will launch a new sofa product reflecting the 'Stay Home' trend at the end of the year. Typically, home furniture products such as sofas and dining tables are released around February to March each year, when moving and weddings are concentrated, but due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and increased time spent at home, the release schedule was moved up to target consumers' sofa purchasing demand.
Hyundai Livart, a total interior company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 10th that it will release three sofa series: Grandioso M, Prosh, and Plage.
The new sofa products feature upgrades in functionality and design compared to existing products. First, the size of the seat cushions (the part of the sofa where people sit) and the couch (a long chair that allows reclining) were expanded compared to existing sofa products to enable comfortable posture for long hours of use.
In the case of the Grandioso M sofa, the vertical length of the seat cushion is 710 mm (based on sofa head operation), about 130 mm longer than the existing Grandioso sofa (580 mm). The Prosh sofa increased the vertical length of the seat cushion (640 mm) by 100 mm compared to general fabric sofas (500?550 mm), and the Plage sofa expanded the width of the couch (1190 mm) to be wider than a super single mattress (1100 mm).
Additionally, the application of striking colors and premium materials draws attention. Instead of the existing neutral colors such as black and gray, bright and sophisticated colors were applied for the first time in this sofa series. Grandioso M uses Marsala and Olive Green colors, while Prosh and Plage use Blue Gray & Pink and Peacock Blue & Green colors, respectively.
Along with this, Grandioso M applies soft-touch leather from the Italian premium leather brand 'Palladio,' and Prosh and Plage use functional fabric materials from Davis (Poland) and Elastron (Portugal), which have excellent stain resistance and waterproof functions, enhancing softness and durability.
The prices are 2,590,000 KRW for the standard Grandioso M (4-seater) and 3,590,000 KRW for the recliner type (4-seater). The Prosh fabric sofa (3-seater) and Plage head-tilting sofa (3-seater) are priced at 1,191,000 KRW and 1,087,000 KRW, respectively.
For delivery, customers in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon metropolitan areas can receive their purchase the next day through the 'Next Day Delivery' service, while customers in other regions can receive their products on their desired date starting three days after purchase.
Um Ik-su, General Manager (Executive Director) of Hyundai Livart's Living Business Division, said, "As the time spent in living rooms increased due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, customer demand for premium sofas with high convenience and interior effects increased, leading us to advance the release schedule by about three months from March next year. We will continue to introduce products with designs and functions that match these trends."
