[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin County, Gyeongbuk Province (County Mayor Jeon Chan-geol) announced on the 4th that from the 7th to the 11th, traffic on the two lanes from Onyang Intersection to Samgeun Intersection on National Route 36 will be completely restricted.
This traffic restriction is due to the maintenance work for the rockfall and landslide in the Haweon-ri section of Geumgangsong-myeon. During the closure period, detours must be made via the existing National Route 36.
The Uljin Branch Office of the Pohang Regional Land Management Office is informing residents and users about the traffic restrictions by installing banners and traffic safety facilities at Onyang Intersection and other locations.
An official from Uljin County stated, "We are doing our best to ensure that residents do not experience inconvenience by providing information about the traffic restrictions and detour routes through SNS and notification messages," adding, "We will make every effort to complete the facility construction promptly."
