KG Dongbu Steel began its differentiation in the siding market by introducing the wood-patterned 'Real Wood Embossed Steel Sheet,' and in 2019, to solve the chronic wave phenomenon that occurred during building exterior construction, it developed the country's first horizontally patterned embossed steel sheet, the 'NOWAVE Embossed Steel Sheet,' which received great market response.
Furthermore, in November 2020, KG Dongbu Steel newly launched the 'Snow Crystal Embossed Steel Sheet' specialized for frozen panels, holding the largest number of embossed patterns in Korea, firmly establishing itself as the leading embossed color steel sheet specialist company.
The newly released 'Snow Crystal Embossed Steel Sheet' applies heat-reflective functionality, offering superior energy efficiency compared to regular steel sheets, and includes antibacterial properties that can suppress surface bacteria by up to 99.9%, meeting the recent customer demand for safety, which has become a top priority due to COVID-19.
Also, considering the characteristics of products made for frozen panels, the design applies a pattern of snow crystal formations to provide a cool feeling from the exterior.
In fact, when the 'Snow Crystal Embossed Steel Sheet' was exposed to an infrared lamp for 15 hours during testing, it demonstrated excellent energy efficiency with a surface temperature difference of more than 3 degrees compared to general color steel sheets. In antibacterial function tests, while bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus continued to proliferate on conventional steel sheets, the antibacterial steel sheet showed a 99.9% reduction effect.
