[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] CJ ENM O Shopping Division is holding the '1st Ontact Baby Fair' until the 28th. This is in response to the increased demand for non-face-to-face childcare products due to the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This event targets mothers aged 30 to 44 who enjoy online communication during the peak season for autumn infant and children's products. It introduces various infant and children's products under special conditions through all channels, including CJmall's dedicated mobile live channel for infants and children, ‘KidsNOW’, TV home shopping, and CJmall.
Customers who purchase products participating in the event will receive an immediate 7% credit card discount, and CJmall customers will get 10% of their purchase amount (up to 50,000 KRW) returned as points. Additionally, new and dormant customers who buy event products will have the opportunity to purchase ‘Bebesup’ wet wipes (1 box), Febreze, Hetbahn, bottled water, toilet paper, and fabric softener for 100 KRW each on a first-come, first-served basis. A giveaway event is also being held on the Instagram account ‘KidsNOW’.
First, on CJmall’s mobile live channel ‘KidsNOW’, 11 popular products will be selected and introduced at discounts ranging from 20% to 70% over three days. A representative product is Poled’s ‘All Age 360’ car seat. Introduced at 449,000 KRW through the ‘Jung Juri Show’ on KidsNOW at 10 a.m. on the 26th, this product is economical as it can be adjusted in 16 stages to be used from newborns up to 12 years old weighing less than 36 kg with a single car seat.
On TV home shopping, the ‘Atopalm Baby Cream + Huggies Diapers’ will be sold at 1:35 p.m. on the 28th. The so-called ‘red container cream’ MLE cream mania package, consisting of 12 tubes, is sold for 90,000 KRW, and the national diaper brand Huggies’ ‘Max Dry’ is offered in a lowest-price configuration of 6 packs for 111,800 KRW.
Kim Sung-eun, assistant manager of the M Living Business Team at CJ ENM O Shopping Division, said, “Due to concerns about multi-use facilities, the demand for infant and children’s products through online channels is expected to continue at least until the peak season next spring. In response to the increased demand, we plan to hold the Ontact Baby Fair once every quarter starting with this event.”
