Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that it will hold a Facebook event where participants leave comments starting with "This Chuseok, I will ???" to promote a wise way to spend Chuseok.
The district prepared this event to share personal tips for spending a wise Chuseok, aiming to provide small joys to residents who must stay home this holiday due to difficulties in visiting hometowns or traveling caused by COVID-19.
To participate, visit the Gangseo-gu Office Facebook page by October 5 and leave a comment on the event post with "My personal tip for safely spending Chuseok."
A total of 50 winners will be selected by lottery to receive a 10,000 KRW mobile book and culture gift certificate, and the winners will be announced on Facebook on October 20.
Completing missions such as liking the page, sharing the post, tagging friends, and using hashtags (#Gangseo-gu, #ChuseokCelebration, #OvercomingCOVID) will increase the chances of winning.
Additionally, a district official urged, "To prevent the spread of COVID-19 during this holiday, everyone should refrain from meetings and travel as much as possible to actively participate in 'social distancing' and strictly follow personal hygiene rules such as wearing masks."
Park In-su, Head of the Public Relations Policy Division, said, "We prepared this event so that residents can comply with quarantine rules and actively participate in social distancing even during the Chuseok holidays," and added, "We hope many people will share their tips for enjoying this Chuseok."
