Brandy Hosts Online Coding Competition 'Code Name B'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Fashion tech company Brandi (CEO Seo Jeong-min) announced on the 10th that it will hold an online coding competition called 'Codename B.' Through this competition, held for the first time this year, Brandi plans to award a total prize of 333 million KRW to winners and new hires.

The first round of the competition will take place on the 29th at 2 PM, and the second round will be held on the 5th of next month for those who pass the first round. The competition is free and open to anyone interested in coding, including IT industry workers, university students, and job seekers.

Brandi, which announced the recruitment of 100 developers in May this year, plans to create a platform where domestic developers can showcase their skills and take on new challenges by hosting a large-scale online coding competition. The total prize money for the competition is 29 million KRW, awarded to 46 winners, including 10 million KRW for first place. Additionally, participants will be randomly selected to receive points worth 50,000 KRW usable at Brandi or Hyber. The award ceremony is scheduled for early September.

In particular, among the top 100 participants in the final ranking who join Brandi, a total of 10 people will receive a signing bonus of 10 million KRW, stock options worth 10 million KRW, and an additional annual salary of 10 million KRW, totaling 30 million KRW per person and over 300 million KRW in total. Brandi explained that this is the minimum amount paid to new hires and that up to 100 million KRW can be paid depending on individual capabilities.

The competition will be conducted online, where participants solve various types of multiple-choice questions prepared by coding experts within a time limit. Yoon Seok-ho, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) leading Brandi Labs, said, "We decided to hold this coding competition to promote Brandi in the IT industry and discover talented individuals hidden everywhere," adding, "Going forward, Brandi will continue to support the growth of domestic development talent by preparing gatherings, conferences, and seminars for developers."
