Add Ideas to Public Data and Start a Business Immediately Ulsan City Hall.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will hold the "2020 Public Data Utilization Startup Competition Awards Ceremony" at 2 p.m. on the 15th in the medium conference room on the 4th floor of the main building.


Ulsan City, together with the Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency, received a total of 18 entries in two categories (12 in idea planning, 6 in product and service development) through the startup competition website from April 13 to June 19. After the first document screening and the second presentation screening, the winning works were selected.


The winning works include a total of six works: three in the idea planning category (Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Encouragement Award) and three in the product and service development category (Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Encouragement Award).


The Grand Prize in the idea planning category went to Mr. Moon Sang-jun for his proposal "AI-based Multidimensional Medical Information Service," the Excellence Award to the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology team for "Du:beu," and the Encouragement Award to Ms. Lee Ji-an for "Today's Terminal."


"AI-based Multidimensional Medical Information Service" is a platform that provides personalized diagnostic information by analyzing public medical big data such as medical image reading and clinical information in conjunction with multidimensional imaging technology.


"Du:beu" is a service that optimizes port logistics by efficiently delivering containers through real-time traffic information and allocating an appropriate number of trailers by time slot.


"Today's Terminal" is an integrated platform that provides information on train stations, airports, terminals, and rest areas nationwide, allowing users to place orders, leave ratings, and reviews.


The Grand Prize in the product and service development category was awarded to Mr. Lee Tae-young for "Chemical Product Search and Transaction Brokerage Service (ChemNok)," the Excellence Award to the RealMeat3D team for "Spectrometer-based Food Hazardous Component Analysis Platform Using AI Technology," and the Encouragement Award to the Road International team for "Pollutant Mapping System and Water Quality Prediction AI."


"Chemical Product Search and Transaction Brokerage Service" is a real-time transaction brokerage platform connecting domestic chemical industry suppliers and demand companies.


"Spectrometer-based Food Hazardous Component Analysis Platform Using AI Technology" is a platform for developing food component analysis and risk factor identification technology by combining spectrometer hardware technology with public database (DB) deep learning analysis software technology.


"Pollutant Mapping System and Water Quality Prediction AI" is an integrated smart environmental monitoring system utilizing an easily installable measurement network and water quality big data.


Winners will receive certificates and a total prize money of 11.5 million KRW (4 million KRW for idea planning, 7.5 million KRW for product and service development) including the Ulsan Mayor's Award (Grand Prize), Ulsan University President's Award (Excellence), and Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency Director's Award (Encouragement) by category.


In particular, the grand prize winners in each category will qualify to participate in the central finals of the "8th Pan-Government Public Data Utilization Startup Competition" to be held in September.


The winning teams at the central competition will receive benefits such as promotional support, data utilization and AI education, customized consulting, and overseas expansion support to foster them into startup companies.


An official from Ulsan City said, "Based on the technology that has achieved excellent results for three consecutive years in the Pan-Government Public Data Utilization Startup Competition hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, we will actively support this year’s excellent results so that ideas can grow into products and products into commercialization."
