[Asia Economy (Naepo) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province will provide customized support to local small business owners through the operation of a ‘Team Doctor.’
On the 9th, the province announced that it will select 100 small business owners affected by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and support them with the ‘Small Business Owner Difficulty Team Doctor.’
The Team Doctor consists of two experts responsible for tax, product development, marketing, and sales channel support, who will operate by addressing each small business owner’s difficulties in a customized manner.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the program provides support programs and consulting to small business owners vulnerable to changes in the external environment to help recover sales declines, and after consultation and advice, it supports the business with a management improvement subsidy of up to 1.3 million KRW if necessary.
Applicants eligible for Team Doctor support are local small business owners who have been in operation for more than six months and have suffered sales declines due to COVID-19. However, businesses excluded from small business policy fund support, luxury and entertainment industries, and those that are temporarily closed or out of business are excluded.
Small business owners wishing to apply can visit the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency in person or submit related documents by mail or email from the 10th to the 24th of this month.
A provincial official stated, “We will strive to ensure that the operation of Team Doctor can be a pillar of support for local small business owners facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19.”
