Recently, ‘Yangju Okjeong New Town Daesung Verhill’ successfully completed its subscription with favorable results, drawing significant attention to the real estate market value in Yangju, including Okjeong New Town.
According to the Korea Real Estate Board, the subscription for ‘Yangju Okjeong New Town Daesung Verhill’ held from the 2nd to 3rd (Tuesday to Wednesday) attracted a total of 2,075 applications for 750 units excluding special supply, resulting in an average competition rate of 2.76 to 1, with all types closing within the subscription ranking. In particular, the 104㎡ exclusive type in the 2nd priority miscellaneous area recorded the highest competition rate of 20.5 to 1, and the other types also achieved good results, successfully closing within the subscription ranking.
The successful subscription of ‘Yangju Okjeong New Town Daesung Verhill’ is expected to further raise expectations for the Yangju area. Previously, complexes supplied in Yangju, including Okjeong New Town and Hoecheon District, also closed with high competition rates, proving the popularity of the Yangju area, and this value has been reaffirmed once again with ‘Yangju Okjeong New Town Daesung Verhill’.
A real estate official stated, “In the case of Yangju, areas such as Okjeong New Town are gaining attention as representative emerging residential centers in the northern metropolitan area,” adding, “The good results of recently supplied new complexes can be analyzed as a result of demand not only from buyers in Yangju and nearby areas but also from metropolitan demanders who have taken notice of the future value of this area. Once the development of each housing district is completed, the value is expected to rise significantly again.”
Amid the growing attention to the Yangju area, Okjeong New Town is considered one of the most anticipated regions within Yangju due to various development benefits. First, the extension of Line 7, which officially accelerated its project speed with a groundbreaking ceremony in December last year, is a representative example. This project connects Dobongsan Station to Okjeong Station (planned), allowing access to Seoul within three stops from Okjeong Station. Especially, since Line 7 directly connects to Gangnam, it is attracting much anticipation. Among them, ‘Yangju Okjeong New Town Daesung Verhill’ is the complex closest to Okjeong Station within Okjeong New Town, expected to directly benefit from this. Additionally, with the upcoming opening of the GTX C line, using Deokjeong Station will allow reaching Samsung Station in 23 minutes, further enhancing Seoul accessibility.
Various living infrastructures also enhance the area's value. Near ‘Yangju Okjeong New Town Daesung Verhill,’ there are neighborhood parks to the south of the complex, Hanaro Mart, Deokjeong E-Mart, government offices, and large medical facilities (planned).
