[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] The 'Baedalmeok' members ended their first day of business with a disappointing net profit of 100,000 won.

On the 26th episode of tvN's 'Will It Sell If Delivered?', the members of 'I Am Sam' (Sam Kim, Ahn Jung-hwan, Yoon Doojoon, Jung Sewoon) were shown starting their Italian cuisine business, including pasta and pizza.

After finishing the first half of the business day, the members had lunch with cold noodles and then proceeded to the second half. The first delivery order was to Sangam-dong, about 4.5 km away.

Considering rush hour, there was a high risk that the pasta noodles would dry out. Chef Sam Kim attracted attention by skillfully adjusting the sauce concentration and noodle boiling time according to the delivery distance.

The second customer in the second half ordered pasta, pizza, and octopus salad, requesting to "experience the authentic taste of Italy." The customer's identity was a secret delivery taste tester called 'Baesulleo,' Italian chef Sebastiano Zangregorio with 32 years of experience.

Baesulleo said, "I know Chef Sam Kim. He is an excellent chef. He can bring out the authentic Italian taste even with Korean ingredients," expressing high expectations.

Baesulleo tasted the octopus salad, pasta, and pizza in order. He praised, "All three dishes are Italian style and really delicious. The pasta noodles were perfectly al dente, and considering it was delivered, the pizza was really tasty. It felt like eating at an Italian restaurant or a home-cooked meal in an Italian household."

Baesulleo rated the dishes 2 out of 3 stars, indicating a willingness to reorder within a week. He commented, "The variety of the menu was lacking to reorder within 24 hours." Nevertheless, he evaluated the taste of the pasta and pizza as excellent.

The net profit for the day’s business was 100,000 won. Out of 600,000 won in sales, about 490,000 won went to ingredient costs. Each person's daily wage was about 25,000 won.

Facing the reality of not even being able to pay minimum wage, Sam Kim said, "If this were an actual restaurant operation, this level is frankly unacceptable," but he vowed, "I will make more efforts in cost management and in various other ways."
