[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 23rd, tvN's "Hwayangyeonhwa - The Moment Life Becomes a Flower" aired a scene where Yoo Ji-tae declares that he will return to Lee Bo-young.
That day, Yoon Ji-soo (Lee Bo-young) asks Han Jae-hyun (Yoo Ji-tae) in front of a convenience store, "Would you like to eat ramen before you go?" Han Jae-hyun smiles brightly. When Han Jae-hyun struggles to eat the ramen, Yoon Ji-soo says, "As expected. People from that neighborhood don't eat this."
Han Jae-hyun says, "Eating ramen at a convenience store and drinking coffee... it feels like a date for kids these days," and asks, "If we talk like kids these days, does that mean today is our first day?" To that, Yoon Ji-soo replies, "We are going to get hit with a 돌 (dol). Getting hit with a 돌 isn't scary, but there are people who get hit with us." Then Han Jae-hyun answers, "I can take all the hits." He adds, "I can endure it because you are here."
Han Jae-hyun donates a piano to Yoon Ji-soo's father's nursing home. He says, "I don't think I'll go home, and I don't think you'll accept it, so I donated it here." Yoon Ji-soo says, "It's not a small amount of money, so it's not okay," but Han Jae-hyun tells her to try playing it once, saying it might help her father's memory come back.
Then Han Jae-hyun declares to Yoon Ji-soo, "I will return to you. Without stopping, without looking back." Yoon Ji-soo confesses, "These past few days, I felt like I became the protagonist of a movie. Among those days, today was the best scene. But the more I walk with you, the heavier my steps become."
However, Han Jae-hyun vows, "I will walk a path that is not shameful to you or anyone else. I will no longer deceive anyone." He continues, "It might take some time, but I will return to you," emphasizing again and shaking Yoon Ji-soo's heart.
Jang Seo-kyung (Park Si-yeon), who was crying while watching a movie, is startled when Han Jae-hyun enters. She says, "I watched it because you said it was 'Love Letter' or this, but it's not fun. 'Days of Being Wild'." Han Jae-hyun says, "Our marriage was over even before I met Ji-soo," and although Jang Seo-kyung is not responsible for the fight with Jang San (Moon Sung-keun), she will still get hurt.
But Jang Seo-kyung replies, "Sorry, but I can't grant a divorce. I'm crying like this, so that woman should cry too."
Meanwhile, Yoon Ji-soo meets separately with Jang San. Jang San tells Yoon Ji-soo that she resembles Yoon Hyung-gu (Jang Gwang) a lot. Then he says, "The world is really small. Haven't you heard my story from your father?" He probes, "Why are you meeting my son-in-law? Do you need money?" which humiliates Yoon Ji-soo. Jang San also threatens, "I've told my son-in-law repeatedly, but if it's my child, I can't control him."
Ji-soo finds Han Jae-hyun drunk and sitting on the stairs and brings him inside, laying him on the sofa. The next morning, Han Jae-hyun finds a note that says, "Next time, whether you freeze to death on the street or not, I will just leave you alone. It's better not to drink." While looking around the house, Han Jae-hyun cleans up and leaves. When Yoon Ji-soo returns home, she is touched by Han Jae-hyun's heart.
In her twenties, Ji-soo (Jeon Sony) visits Jae-hyun (Jinyoung) in the military and sees news on TV about a department store collapse accident. Remembering that her younger sibling and mother said they were going to that department store today, Ji-soo rushes home. The present Ji-soo has no memory of that time and has been suffering until now. Han Jae-hyun comforts her by holding her close.
The tvN drama "Hwayangyeonhwa - The Moment Life Becomes a Flower" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
