Orion Launches Affordable 1000-Won Snack 'Gamjasok Gamja'

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Orion announced on the 4th that it has launched a new product called ‘Gamjasok Gamja’ as part of its value snack line.

Gamjasok Gamja features a dual structure with a round ball-shaped baked potato resembling a potato, containing raw potato cubes inside. It is characterized by its savory flavor reminiscent of butter-grilled baby potatoes, a popular snack at rest stops, and its unique texture that is both soft and crispy with a double chew. Unlike typical potato snacks in chip or stick form, its round shape, as if baby potatoes are piled up, adds an unusual fun element.

Gamjasok Gamja is one of the ‘Orion Value Snack’ series reflecting the cost-effectiveness trend, available in a 54g package priced at 1,000 won at convenience stores. The Orion Value Snack series, including ‘Chicken Pop’ and ‘Dodo-han Mini Minacho,’ lowers the price per gram to enhance cost-effectiveness and features a convenient elongated package that fits comfortably in one hand, earning positive reviews from consumers.
