On the 30th, according to Gwangju City, through the establishment of a comprehensive development plan for Phase 3 linked with the previously developed Yeongnak Park Phases 1 and 2 projects, the city plans to build high-quality burial facilities and create a beautiful final resting place for life.
The city will prepare a comprehensive development plan including columbarium facilities, convenience facilities for visitors, and the creation of a memorial-themed park, and will carry out administrative procedures such as changing the development restriction zone management plan and collecting residents' opinions this year.
Yang Geun-su, head of the Elderly Society Policy Division of the city, said, “We plan to expand facilities in line with the cremation-centered funeral culture and burial facility supply plan, and to create burial facilities that serve not only as quantitatively supplied facilities but also as rest and memorial spaces frequently visited by citizens.”
