Coverage and Promotion of 'Urban Regeneration Issues in Sinchon Area' and 'Sinchon, Paranggorae Program'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is recruiting university student reporters to promote issues related to urban regeneration in the Sinchon area and the ‘Sinchon, Paranggorae’ program.
The positions include 5 reporting journalists and 3 video/image journalists. They will post content created through on-site coverage on SNS and university student online communities, and also publish them in newsletters.
Any university student active or residing in Seoul who is interested in urban regeneration in Sinchon, culture and arts, promotion, marketing, and youth projects, and can actively participate, is eligible to apply.
Applicants with experience in university newspaper reporting, skills in photo/video shooting and editing, or majors in advertising, promotion, and design will be given preference.
Applicants can download the application form from the Seodaemun-gu website notice board, fill it out, and submit it via email (zooyeol@sdm.go.kr) by March 13.
If desired, applicants may attach their articles, videos, or design portfolios.
Successful candidates will be announced on March 20 after document screening and interviews. The district office will provide promotional training to the student reporters and pay a manuscript fee for accepted articles.
The activity period lasts until the end of December this year, during which participants will be involved in the entire process of item selection, planning, and production for promoting Sinchon urban regeneration and Paranggorae. The district office will award certificates of completion to the student reporters.
The first group of reporters who were active last year consisted of 7 members: 4 reporters and 3 video/image journalists. The 43 pieces of content they produced recorded over 7,500 views.
Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, “We look forward to content that captures the activities and achievements of urban regeneration and Paranggorae, as well as various good stories and the lives of local community members in the Sinchon area through the efforts of this year’s student reporters.”
‘Sinchon, Paranggorae’ (19 Yonsero 5na-gil), which opened in May last year, is an anchor facility of the Sinchon urban regeneration revitalization project, promoting △ support for youth culture and arts and exchange among activists △ building local communities △ and projects linked with surrounding areas.
