Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun is inspecting the response status of Cheongdo County to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) at the Regional Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of Cheongdo County Office, Gyeongbuk, on the 27th.

On the same day, Prime Minister Chung visited the Regional Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in Cheongdo County, which is struggling due to a cluster infection and deaths at Daenam Hospital. He listened to the current status of patient occurrences and response measures and conveyed these remarks.
Prime Minister Chung ordered, "Since most of the inpatients at Daenam Hospital belong to medically vulnerable groups, please make every effort to ensure thorough treatment of confirmed cases."
He continued, "Please manage so that severe patients can receive necessary medical services sufficiently by efforts such as timely transfer to nearby hospitals."
Furthermore, he added, "It is important that there is no further spread," and said, "Please pay close attention to prevention to ensure no additional transmission occurs, and coordinate with medical staff at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to take necessary measures promptly."
Finally, Prime Minister Chung said, "Public officials should take special care of the residents so that the people of Cheongdo County can regain peace of mind and maintain their daily lives well," and promised, "The difficulties faced by Cheongdo County are not only the problem of its residents but matters to be addressed and managed at the national level. The government will also do its best to provide support and efforts."
