[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University Hospital (Director Jeong Jong-hoon) announced that on the 20th and 21st, amid additional confirmed cases of 'COVID-19' in Gwangju Metropolitan City, three people (2 positive, 1 under additional testing) were safely isolated and admitted to the negative pressure ward.
Two confirmed cases among church members who attended the Shincheonji Daegu Church worship service, a COVID-19 cluster outbreak site on the 16th, were isolated in the nationally designated negative pressure ward at Chosun University Hospital on the night of the 20th and early morning of the 21st, respectively.
A (30), who attended the Daegu worship service, complained of a mild headache around 11:30 a.m. on the 20th, visited the Gwangju Seo-gu Public Health Center screening clinic for specimen collection, and was confirmed positive. At around 11 p.m. that day, A was immediately isolated at Chosun University Hospital using an ambulance from Seo-gu Public Health Center.
B (30, female), A's wife, also complained of a mild fever and was isolated at Chosun University Hospital using the same ambulance as A. Although the specimen test result was 'negative,' a second additional test is planned.
C (30), who also attended the Daegu worship service with A, was confirmed 'positive' during self-isolation and was additionally isolated in the nationally designated negative pressure ward at Chosun University Hospital around 8 a.m. that day.
As three Gwangju Shincheonji church members who attended the Daegu worship service in one private car were confirmed positive, and two of them were isolated and admitted to the nationally designated negative pressure ward at Chosun University Hospital, the hospital plans to further strengthen entrance control, visitor restrictions, and fever screening.
