[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] CJ Olive Young announced on the 4th that it will expand the delivery options of its instant delivery service ‘Oneul Dream’ by time slots and strengthen its omni-channel competitiveness.
As demand for Oneul Dream, launched in December 2018, increased, Olive Young added ‘3!4! Delivery’ and ‘Midnight Delivery’ to the delivery options. Oneul Dream is a service that packages and delivers products purchased on the online mall and mobile app from stores near the delivery address, delivering within 3 hours from the order time.
The new options, 3!4! Delivery and Midnight Delivery, allow customers to directly specify the delivery time for receiving products. If you choose 3!4! Delivery, you can receive your order between 3 PM and 4 PM on the same day for orders placed before 1 PM. Also, if you choose Midnight Delivery, orders placed before 8 PM will be delivered between 10 PM and midnight on the same day. The existing instant delivery within 3 hours will continue to operate under the name ‘Fast Delivery’ for orders placed between 10 AM and 8 PM.
For the new delivery options, the delivery method is contactless. When ordering with 3!4! Delivery or Midnight Delivery, the delivery driver does not hand over the product directly but delivers it to the door of the address set by the customer and sends a delivery completion message.
The delivery fee is 2,500 KRW for 3!4! Delivery and Midnight Delivery for purchases under 30,000 KRW, and 5,000 KRW for the existing Fast Delivery. Delivery is free for purchases over 30,000 KRW regardless of the delivery option. The policy aims to maximize customer convenience by quickly delivering ordered products on the same day while allowing customers to receive products at their desired place during specific time slots.
An Olive Young official said, “As Oneul Dream, Olive Young’s representative online-to-offline (O2O) service, rapidly grows, we are advancing the service structure beyond expanding delivery areas.” He added, “This year, Olive Young plans to focus on omni-channel as a core theme and will concentrate on planning new O2O services that combine the strengths of offline channels with online business synergy, in addition to Oneul Dream.”
Meanwhile, to celebrate the expansion of Oneul Dream’s delivery options, Olive Young plans to hold various promotions every week throughout February via its official online mall. As the first event, until the 9th, customers who check the Oneul Dream serviceable areas on the event page within Olive Young’s online mall will receive CJ ONE points daily for the first 5,000 customers. Only Olive Young members can participate, and each member can enter once during the period.
