Gallup Korea Survey Ranks ‘JobKorea’ No.1 in Employment Success Rate


Among adult men and women seeking jobs or changing careers, JobKorea was selected as the number one employment portal that actually led to successful employment.


This result comes from a survey conducted by Gallup Korea, a public opinion research institute, titled ‘Employment Portal Brand and Advertising Consumer Awareness Survey.’ The survey was conducted online with 1,000 adult men and women aged 20 to 49 and university students residing in six major cities.


According to Gallup Korea, 57.9% of all respondents in this survey reported that they succeeded in getting a job or changing careers through an employment portal. The employment success rate via employment portals was 55.0% for men and 61.0% for women, with women showing a slightly higher rate. By age group, those in their 30s had the highest employment success rate at 67.6%, followed by those in their 40s at 66.5%, and those in their 20s at 43.2%.


So, which employment portals most frequently led to actual employment success?


Gallup Korea asked respondents who succeeded in employment or career changes through employment portals to select the portals that actually led to employment success (multiple answers allowed). As a result, 46.5% of respondents?about one in two?reported that they succeeded in employment through ‘JobKorea,’ ranking it first. Following that, 42.1% selected Saramin, 28.8% Worknet, 11.9% Incruit, and 4.0% JobPlanet. JobKorea maintained its first-place position for two consecutive years, having ranked first with 50.3% in the previous survey.


Meanwhile, regarding the employment or career change success of acquaintances other than the respondents themselves, ‘JobKorea’ was also the most frequently cited portal. Gallup Korea asked respondents which sites their friends, seniors, or juniors who succeeded in employment or career changes used. As a result, 49.1% of respondents (*multiple answers allowed) selected ‘JobKorea,’ showing the highest response rate.
