T-ara member Hyomin was rushed to an emergency room earlier today after fainting, according to a press release from her agency Core Contents Media.
On Tuesday, Core Contents revealed that Hyomin fainted in the car she was riding while en route to Seoul after shooting a teaser video for MBC's new historical TV series "Gyebaek (translated title)."
She was rushed to a nearby hospital and underwent several medical examinations before being transferred to another hospital to rest.
"We believe that Hyomin fainted from overwork since she has been so busy filming her horror pic 'Ghastly,' promoting T-ara's new song 'Roly-Poly' as well as preparing for 'Gyebaek,'" an official from Core Contents was quoted as saying.
He went onto say that they apologize for delaying interviews with local media for "Ghastly" due to Hyomin's condition and will announce their plans regarding her future activities after receiving the medical results.
Hyomin made her debut in entertainment with a role in FTIsland's music video "Heaven" in 2008. She then made her singing debut as part of girl group T-ara the following year, while the girls are currently promoting the title track "Roly-Poly" from their new album "John Travolta Wannabe."
Outside of her group activities, she expanded her career into acting where she played a college student in SBS' TV series "My Girlfriend is Gumiho" and recently starred in horror film "Ghastly" set to open in local theaters next month.
She was recently cast to play the role of Cho-young in MBC's upcoming series "Gyebaek" which will premiere on July 25.
