'Birdie Buddy' in talks to air on MBC in late-December

Upcoming TV series "Birdie Buddy" is in talks to go on air starting late-December on major Korean broadcasting company MBC. "We are currently in talks for 'Birdie Buddy' to air on MBC after current drama 'Queen of Reversals' ends its run," a PR official from production company Group 8 told 10Asia over the phone on Thursday.She added that there is also a chance "Buddy" would premiere in early January should "Queen" extend its run. The finale episode of "Queen" is currently set for December 21."Birdie," based on a comic series by Lee Hyun-sae, is about the world of female golfers. Lee has also received a presidential award for his golf series of the same name. The drama will star Korean girl group After School member U-ie who plays the role of Sung Mi-soo, a poor girl from the country side who dreams of becoming a famous golfer and dancer-turned-actor Lee Yong-woo who will take on the role of John Lee, a pro golfer and love interest to Mi-soo.
