Six CEOs Reappointed Among Seven Affiliates with Terms Expiring This Year
Eunbae Lee, Deputy President of Hana Bank, Nominated as New CEO of Hana F&I
Hana Financial Group has recommended the reappointment of the CEOs of six affiliates, including Hana Securities and Hana Life Insurance, among the seven affiliates whose CEO terms expire at the end of this year.
On December 10, Hana Financial Group announced that its Group Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee and Affiliate Management Committee had recommended Sungmook Kang, CEO of Hana Securities, and Koonwon Nam, CEO of Hana Life Insurance, for reappointment.
Sungmook Kang, the CEO recommended for reappointment, was born in 1964 and has served as CEO of Hana Securities since January 2023.
The Group Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee evaluated CEO Kang as having "turned around management performance by overcoming the crisis through transitioning to an emergency management system due to declining profitability, organizational restructuring, expanding the customer base, and risk management."
Koonwon Nam, CEO of Hana Life Insurance, was born in 1967 and has served as CEO since January 2024.
The committee cited CEO Nam's improvement in management performance through diversification of sales channels and expansion into new business areas as the reasons for his recommendation.
On this day, Hana Financial Group also recommended candidates for CEO positions at five other affiliates: Hana Asset Trust, Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management, Hana Financial TI, Hana Insurance, and Hana F&I.

Eunbae Lee, Deputy President of Hana Bank, was newly recommended as the candidate for CEO of Hana F&I.
The Affiliate Management Committee described Lee as "an expert in 'field-oriented sales' with extensive experience in loan review," and stated, "As the current head of the bank's sales support group, he has made significant contributions to the bank achieving record-high performance. He is highly regarded as the right person to lead the company's long-term growth."
In addition, Kwan-sik Min, CEO of Hana Asset Trust; Haeseong Jeong, CEO of Hana Alternative Investment Asset Management; Geunyoung Park, CEO of Hana Financial TI; and Seongwan Bae, CEO of Hana Insurance, were all recommended for reappointment.
The CEO candidates for each affiliate of Hana Financial Group will be officially appointed after going through each company's Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee, board of directors, and general shareholders' meeting to be held in the future.
