Cheorwon County in Gangwon Province (Governor Hyun-Jong Lee) is signing a business agreement on the 3rd at the county office for the re-designation of the 'Cheorwon Better Education District' together with the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education and the Cheorwon Office of Education.

Through this agreement, the aim is to establish a governance system involving civil society, government, and educational institutions in order to enhance the quality of education and to foster a local educational community where citizens grow together in harmony.

The 'Cheorwon Better Education District' project began in 2017, with agreements renewed every four years to achieve sustainable educational development. Cheorwon County and the Offices of Education have been collaborating to operate a variety of programs with themes such as learning and care, communication and cooperation, growth and solidarity, culture and arts with the local community, and dreams and hope.

Hyun-Jong Lee, Governor of Cheorwon County, stated, "Cheorwon County has continuously provided various programs and support for the educational growth of students, and with this re-designation, we expect even greater educational outcomes."
