This event is hosted by Seongnam City and organized by the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency. It will run for two days until the 24th under the theme "AI·Data Innovation and the Future of Biohealth Business Models."

The convention, which brings together domestic and international experts, companies, and research institutions, serves as a platform for exploring technological innovation and business collaboration opportunities. In particular, a variety of practical cooperation programs are scheduled, including a business networking session and investment IR on the 23rd, an AI·Digital Healthcare Conference on the 24th, and company exhibitions and export consultations.

At the opening ceremony held on the 23rd, Seongnam Mayor Shin Sangjin stated, "Seongnam is at the center of the future industry where AI, data, and medical devices converge in the biohealth sector, a core industry of the Fourth Industrial Revolution era," adding, "Through industrial innovation that citizens can experience, we will develop Seongnam into a leading global K-biohealth city."

Following this, Kit Tang, CEO of Roche Diagnostics Korea, delivered a keynote speech on "The Conditions and Constraints of Digital Innovation," and Jang Soyong, Director at Celltrion, gave a keynote on "Pipeline Analysis and Open Innovation for New Drug Development," offering insights into global trends in the biohealth industry.

On the second day, the 24th, the inauguration ceremony of the Seongnam Metropolitan Domestic Medical Device Education and Training Council (MD-TAP) will take place, officially launching an industry-academia-research-hospital cooperation system with participation from hospitals, companies, and academic societies. Through this, Seongnam City plans to establish a comprehensive support system covering education and training, clinical application, and overseas expansion of domestic medical devices.

Taking this convention as an opportunity, Seongnam City aims to strengthen its convergent ecosystem connecting artificial intelligence (AI), medical devices, and the bioindustry, and to expand its advanced industrial base centered on Pangyo Techno Valley, striving to become the central city for K-biohealth.
