A large aquarium collapsed at a seafood restaurant in China, causing dozens of fish and seawater to pour into the dining area.
According to the New York Post on October 20 (local time), a large aquarium exploded at a restaurant in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China, on October 15, resulting in dozens of fish spilling out. Footage of the incident, captured by CCTV, quickly spread across social networking services (SNS).
The released video shows the aquarium glass shattering and numerous fish pouring out. The water and fish flowed not only into the kitchen but also into the main dining area where customers were eating, creating a torrent reminiscent of a mountain stream. Startled employees could be seen fleeing in a hurry.
The restaurant is known for specializing in seafood, but the exact extent of the damage remains unknown.
Online viewers who watched the video responded with jokes such as, "The fish are so fresh they swim out on their own," and "Is this an event where you catch your own dinner?"
