Gapyeong County Council Concludes 332nd Extraordinary Session...32 Agenda Items Including Ordinance and Budget Bills Approved

The Gapyeong County Council in Gyeonggi Province, chaired by Kim Kyungsoo, held the 2nd plenary session of the 332nd extraordinary meeting on the 11th, during which it passed 20 ordinance bills, 5 motions of consent, 6 budget bills, and a motion to withdraw an ordinance bill, thus concluding the 11-day extraordinary session.

During this 2nd plenary session, the council approved as originally proposed five ordinance bills initiated by council members, including the "Partial Amendment Ordinance Bill on the Operation of Sessions of the Gapyeong County Council," as well as 15 ordinance bills submitted by the Gapyeong County Governor, such as the "Partial Amendment Ordinance Bill on the Operation of the Gapyeong County Resident Participatory Budget System," and four motions of consent, including the "Motion of Consent for Private Consignment of the Gapyeong County Childcare Support Center." The "Motion of Consent for Private Consignment of the Gapyeong County Children's Music Playground" was rejected.


Additionally, regarding the "2025 2nd Supplementary General and Other Special Accounts Revenue and Expenditure Budget Bill" submitted by the Gapyeong County Governor, the council approved the bill after reducing 1.297 billion won from the proposed expenditure increase of 149.149 billion won.


In his closing remarks, Chairman Kim Kyungsoo stated, "I hope that special efforts will be made to ensure that disaster relief funds are provided before Chuseok so that residents affected by flood damage can find some relief. Please take care of your health during this change of seasons, and I wish all residents happiness and laughter in your homes."
