An event will be held to share the latest technology trends and safety management know-how with employees of secondary battery-related companies across the country.


Daejeon Technopark will host the "2025 Battery Next-Generation Technology & Safety Competency Upskill Program" from September 18 to 19 at the KW Convention in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, aimed at fostering specialized talent in the secondary battery sector.


This training is intended for employees of secondary battery-related companies nationwide and is jointly organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association and Daejeon Technopark, with support from the Daejeon Metropolitan Government.


The program consists of a total of 12 hours of lectures by experts from industry, academia, and research institutes, covering topics such as: ▲ Third-generation diagnostic technology for used batteries ▲ Safety standards for battery equipment ▲ Current status and outlook of the battery industry ▲ Core materials and technologies for all-solid-state secondary batteries ▲ Current status of next-generation battery research and development.


Registration is open to the first 40 applicants until September 16. Anyone currently employed in the secondary battery field or seeking to transition into a related industry is eligible to apply.


Applications can be submitted through the Korea Battery Academy website. Both the training fee and lunch are provided free of charge. In addition, participants who meet the attendance requirements will receive a certificate of completion.


Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon Technopark, stated, "Next-generation battery technology and safety are key factors that determine global competitiveness. Through this training, we hope to share the latest technology trends and safety management know-how with employees in the secondary battery sector, establishing Daejeon as a central hub for talent development in this field."
