More than 130 Attendees, Including Alastair King, Lord Mayor of the City of London
NH NongHyup Bank announced that it held the opening ceremony for its London branch in the United Kingdom on the 5th. Approximately 130 people attended the ceremony, including Kang Taeyoung, President of NongHyup Bank, Alastair King, Lord Mayor of the City of London, and Han Seungho, Acting Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United Kingdom.
The London branch is NongHyup Bank's first branch in Europe. The bank began the process of establishing the branch after opening its London office in 2021. NongHyup Bank received approval to establish the branch in July of this year and officially began operations on July 15.
Through the London branch, NongHyup Bank aims to establish a foothold for expanding its global investment banking business in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The branch also plans to provide corporate financial services to Korean companies operating in Europe and to local companies seeking financial connections with Asia.
President Kang expressed his gratitude to the executives and employees for their efforts in ensuring the successful opening of the London branch, stating, "We will develop the London branch into a strategic hub for NongHyup Bank's global investment banking business."
