APEC Partnership: 147 Investment Institutions from 17 Countries Gather
Global VCs Including BlackRock and Legend Capital Convene
Korea Ecosystem IR and Listing Market Briefings Held
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups held the "2025 Global Venture Investment Summit" on September 4 at the Jeju International Convention Center (ICC) in Seogwipo, Jeju, as a side event of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) SME Ministerial Meeting.
The Global Venture Investment Summit is an international networking and cooperation event for global venture capital institutions, organized in collaboration with the Korea Venture Capital Association and Korea Venture Investment. A total of 147 institutions participated, including 77 overseas organizations from 17 countries worldwide and more than 60 domestic investment institutions, making it the largest single venture investment event ever held in Korea. Notably, leading global investment institutions such as Legend Capital, Vertex Growth, and Asia Alternatives took part in the event.

The first session of the summit featured lectures on "Global Market Trends" by BlackRock, a global asset management company, and Preqin, an alternative investment market analysis firm. This was followed by a panel discussion on "APEC Venture Ecosystem Cooperation" between venture capitalists (VCs) and limited partners (LPs) within the APEC region. The final session, "Korea Ecosystem IR," included investment presentations by leading Korean companies such as Rebellions, Musinsa, The Pinkfong Company, and Autonomous A2Z, as well as a briefing by Samsung Securities on the Korean listing market.
Hansung Sook, Minister of SMEs and Startups, said, "I hope that today's event, which brings together foreign government agencies and investors, will serve as an opportunity for the Korean venture ecosystem and the APEC ecosystem to be more closely connected through a stronger partnership."
