The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea announced on September 3 that it held the 'Gwangju Dong-gu 4th Term 2025 Our Neighborhood Sharing Hero Sharing Leader and Sharing Company Certification Ceremony' with Sharing Heroes.
At the ceremony, which took place in the reception room of the Dong-gu District Office that morning, certification plaques were presented to nine Sharing Heroes. This event is the result of a relay donation campaign that began when Dong-gu District Mayor Lim Taek participated as the first Sharing Leader in Gwangju in April. Following the group ceremonies for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd terms, this marks the fourth such event.
The nine Sharing Heroes who participated in this ceremony are Kwanho Chu, Secretary-General of Gwangdonghoe (3rd term); Jusul Kim and Youngsim Choi, CEOs of Sinsaegye Shoes; Hyeongjo Jeong, CEO of Songhak Development; Dongsik Shin, Chairman of the Hakdong Community Social Welfare Council; Jongcheol Seon, CEO of Hanavision Silver Home; Yumi Kim, CEO of Pinetree Nursing Home; Yeonsu Seong, CEO of Haengboknarae Nursing Home; Giyeong Choi, CEO of Greenature; and Hyeonrim Park, CEO of Naturesup Senior Welfare Center.
With this round of new members, Dong-gu now has a total of 40 Sharing Heroes and has raised a cumulative donation of 41.29 million won, leading the way in spreading a culture of sharing in the region.
Heungcheol Park, Secretary-General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, said, "Thanks to those who have joined in warm acts of sharing throughout the community, our society has become even stronger," adding, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that sharing becomes a natural part of daily life."
Lim Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu District, stated, "The warm hearts of each and every Sharing Hero in our neighborhood are brightening the hope of Dong-gu," and added, "We will build a happy welfare community that every resident can truly feel."
