"Sauna Interior Fully Visible"... Renowned Gyeongju Hotel Issues Apology After Emergency Measures

"Facility Operations Suspended and Film Replaced"

On August 12, a four-star hotel located in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, issued an apology regarding the controversy over the interior of its sauna facility being fully visible from the outside after the protective film on the glass windows was damaged. The hotel announced, "We have replaced the film." This hotel is the place where user A reported that the women's sauna and changing room were visible from outside.

On its official website, the hotel posted an apology stating, "Due to the deterioration of the privacy film on the sauna facility, we caused inconvenience to our guests." The hotel explained, "The film's performance deteriorated recently due to abnormally high temperatures and direct sunlight."

Previously, on around August 6, user A, who said they had stayed at the hotel, wrote, "From the outside, you could see people moving around in the women's sauna and even the stairs leading down from the changing room. It was not just silhouettes-you could clearly see what clothes people were wearing."

User A continued, "After visiting the hotel sauna with my children, I saw people walking around shirtless while we were taking a walk. My wife's body, who had used the sauna, was likely visible as well. The hotel staff were unaware of this issue. I believe the hotel should apologize to everyone affected by this exposure incident," criticizing the hotel's handling of the situation.
