This practical training was part of the "2025 Advanced Field Innovation Convergence University Project (Secondary Battery)" promoted by the Ministry of Education. Five universities nationwide?Gyeongnam Information University, Chungbuk National University, Gachon University, Pusan National University, and Inha University?formed a consortium to jointly implement the program.
The training course consisted of secondary battery module simulation, PLC practice, electric vehicle practice, and module manufacturing practice. It utilized specialized educational infrastructure at Gyeongnam Information University, including the Secondary Battery Content Development Laboratory, Equipment Control PLC Laboratory, EV Secondary Battery Laboratory, and Automation Process Laboratory.
A total of 13 students participated in this program, which went beyond simple theoretical classes to include hands-on, project-based learning such as module manufacturing and electric vehicle practice, receiving an enthusiastic response.
Shim Jaehyung, head of the Secondary Battery Innovation Convergence University Project Group, said, "It was a meaningful opportunity for participating students to experience a variety of educational content beyond their home universities, fostering both self-directed learning and interdisciplinary competency." He added, "We hope that joint practical training and shared use of high-value equipment will help spread this as a best practice for the Advanced Field Innovation Convergence University Project."
