AI-Powered Custom Functions for Fabric Types and Characteristics
On July 17, Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the 2025 models of the 'Bespoke AI Washer' and 'Bespoke AI Dryer', both equipped with a 7-inch 'AI Home' touchscreen and enhanced AI capabilities. The official release date is July 18.

The new products offer the largest capacity available in Korea, with the washer holding 25kg and the dryer 22kg. Depending on the space, they can be installed vertically, horizontally, or separately, making them suitable for consumers who need to handle large loads of laundry or require separate washing options.
With this launch, Samsung Electronics has completed its full lineup of laundry appliances. Previously, the company introduced the 'Bespoke AI Combo', an all-in-one washer-dryer that handles washing and drying in one cycle without transferring laundry, and the 'Bespoke AI One Body', a stacked model that enhances convenience and space utilization while enabling separate washing. The newly released products are separate washer and dryer units. Samsung Electronics expects that consumers will be able to choose the optimal product to suit their individual lifestyles.
The new Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer feature a 7-inch 'AI Home' touchscreen, allowing users to conveniently check and easily control washing and drying cycles. The large screen supports the '3D Map View' function, which displays a three-dimensional floor plan of the home and shows the locations and status of appliances connected to SmartThings at a glance. In addition, the AI voice assistant 'Bixby' is supported, enabling users to control the appliances naturally through voice commands.
The 'Bespoke AI Washer' supports the 'AI Custom Wash+' function, which automatically selects the optimal cycle based on the type, weight, and level of soiling of the laundry. The AI analyzes the characteristics and patterns of the laundry, distinguishes fabric types, and delicately adjusts the washing, rinsing, and spinning processes to suit each material, providing convenience. During washing, the detergent amount and washing time are appropriately adjusted according to the level of soiling. The range of fabric types recognized by the AI has expanded from three (general, delicate, towels) to five, now including denim and outdoor wear.
The 'Bespoke AI Dryer' is equipped with the 'AI Custom Dry+' function, which uses optimized algorithms to customize drying based on the material and characteristics of the clothing. It distinguishes four types: general, delicate, denim, and towels, ensuring thorough drying for thick items and keeping towels fluffy, providing tailored drying for each material. Notably, the dryer features 'Hybrid Heat Pump' technology, delivering even more efficient drying performance. While the heater rapidly preheats the heat exchanger, the low-temperature dehumidification technology keeps the drum temperature below 60 degrees Celsius, helping to prevent fabric damage.
The new Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer are rated as Grade 1 in energy efficiency, making them eligible for the 'Top Efficiency Home Appliance Rebate Program' run by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. The washer's power consumption per kilogram of laundry is 45% lower than the minimum standard for Grade 1 drum washers announced by the Korea Energy Agency. By enabling 'AI Saving Mode' in the connected SmartThings app, users can reduce energy consumption by up to 60% for washing and up to 35% for drying.
The new products are available in four colors: Dark Steel, Silver Steel, Greige, and White. The suggested retail prices for the Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer range from 1,949,000 won to 2,149,000 won and from 1,949,000 won to 2,299,000 won, respectively, depending on the specifications.
Moon Jongseung, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics' DA Division, stated, "We will continue to strengthen our leadership in the washer-dryer market based on advanced AI technology," adding, "We aim to firmly establish 'AI Home Appliances = Samsung' in the minds of consumers."
