KB Kookmin Bank fully resumed accepting applications for non-face-to-face home mortgage loans starting on July 11.
According to the financial sector, beginning at 9 a.m. on this day, KB Kookmin Bank reopened both in-person and non-face-to-face channels for home mortgage loan applications intended for home purchases, for contracts signed after June 28.
Previously, Kookmin Bank had temporarily suspended non-face-to-face channels for home mortgage loans and unsecured loans in order to update its computer systems to reflect the June 27 household loan regulations. Applications for unsecured loans resumed on July 1, and non-face-to-face home mortgage loans for contracts signed before June 27 resumed on July 2. However, for contracts signed after June 28, applications could not be submitted even at in-person branches.
However, with the completion of the system overhaul, as of today, applications for contracts signed after June 28 can now be submitted through both in-person and non-face-to-face channels. This is the first time among the five major commercial banks.
Previously, KakaoBank resumed accepting new applications for home mortgage loans and mortgage refinancing on July 9. K Bank also began accepting apartment mortgage loan applications starting the previous day, as banks are gradually reopening their non-face-to-face channels.
