Yangcheon-gu to Open Registration for “Fourth Industrial Revolution Future Education Special Program” on a First-Come, First-Served Basis Starting July 15

26 Customized Courses Including "ChatGPT Webtoon" and "AI World Tour"

Yangcheon-gu in Seoul is offering a “Summer Vacation Future Education Special Program” at three regional Future Education Centers, allowing children, teenagers, and families to experience and learn about the latest digital technologies together during the summer break.

This special program will run for five weeks from July 25 to August 23, providing 26 customized programs for a total of 312 participants, ranging from preschoolers to elementary and middle school students, as well as families. Each program has been designed to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and convergent thinking by integrating core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as generative artificial intelligence (AI), coding, robotics, drones, and 3D design.


At the Smart Yangcheon Future Education Center, seven courses will be offered for elementary school students, including “ChatGPT Webtoon Creator,” “AI Coding Adventure,” “Introduction to Python,” and “3D Modeling and Virtual Physics Experiments.”


The Mokdong Future Education Center will present four courses for preschoolers, elementary, and middle school students, such as “Building Robots Using Motors,” “Smart Robot Play,” “First Steps as a 3D Designer,” and “Autonomous Driving Coding Mission.”


The Neuldeul Future Education Center has prepared 15 programs for preschoolers, elementary and middle school students, and families. These include a variety of hands-on courses such as “Arctic Adventure with LEGO,” “AI World Tour,” “Virtual Reality Water Park,” “Future Logistics Experience with Robots,” and “Aerial Exploration Project Using Drones,” as well as family special programs like “Digital Competency Adventure” and “Drone Pilot Experience.”


Course registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting July 15 via the Yangcheon-gu Lifelong Learning Portal.


Since 2019, Yangcheon-gu has established and operated regional Future Education Centers, providing future technology experiences and education to a cumulative total of over 30,000 children and teenagers.


Lee Gijae, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “For youth living in the era of AI, summer vacation can be a time to learn new technologies and prepare for the future,” adding, “I hope this Future Education Special Program will be a meaningful summer break in which our children take another step forward as creative and convergent talents.”
