Kakao Entertainment will discontinue the service of Radish, the web novel platform it has been operating in the United States.

On July 9, Radish announced, "We have made the difficult decision to gradually wind down the application," and stated that the service will end on December 31.


Radish is an English-language web novel platform founded in 2016 by CEO Lee Seungyoon. Kakao Entertainment acquired the company in 2021 for 500 billion KRW, drawing significant attention. The company has been operating three platforms simultaneously in North America?Tapas, Radish, and Wuxiaworld?through its Tapas Entertainment subsidiary.


Regarding the discontinuation of the service, Kakao Entertainment stated, "This is part of the process of reorganizing our global strategy." The company added, "We intend to focus our North American capabilities on Tapas to pursue a more efficient story business."
