Jung Chunsaeng, the chief deputy floor leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, stated at the National Assembly's press center during a press conference on "Personnel Purge of the Prosecution Dictatorship," upon hearing the news of Shim's resignation, "Now, everything must return to its rightful place."

At the same event, Shin Jangshik, also a chief deputy floor leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, said, "Tell Prosecutor General Shim to prepare to be investigated."

It is reported that Prosecutor General Shim decided to step down after Representative Jung Sungho of the Democratic Party, a close confidant of President Lee Jaemyung, was nominated as Minister of Justice, and Bong Wook, a former prosecution planning official and now Senior Presidential Secretary for Civil Affairs, was selected as the two main figures for prosecution reform. Prosecutor General Shim is expected to release an official statement at around 3 p.m. today.

Meanwhile, at the press conference, the leadership of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party demanded that the Lee Jaemyung administration "carry out a personnel purge related to the prosecution dictatorship." Seo Wangjin, the floor leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, pointed out, "Jung Jinwoo, head of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office, who is being discussed as a candidate for chief of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, cleared former People Power Party leader Han Donghoon of charges in the Channel A case. Seong Sangheon, head of the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office, who is widely rumored to be appointed as Director of the Prosecution Bureau, was the lead investigator in the Moon Jaein administration's Ministry of Industry blacklist case." He added, "Appointing these individuals is a declaration that the collaborators of the prosecution dictatorship regime will not be held accountable for their actions."
