Dong-A University Professor Learning Development Center Holds Best Lecture Case Sharing Workshop

Presentations by Professors Lee Jingyu, Park Youngil, Jo Hangsil, and Jeon Hyungpil

The Professor Learning Development Center at Dong-A University’s Institute for Educational Innovation (Director: Kim Jongsik) announced on May 2 that it held the "2025 First Semester Best and Excellent Lecture Case Sharing Workshop."

This workshop was organized to share the teaching know-how and a variety of class cases from faculty members who were selected as best and excellent lecturers last year. The event aimed to motivate faculty to improve the quality of their classes and to strengthen their teaching competencies.

The workshop was held on April 25 in a hybrid format, both online and offline, at the Flexible Learning Classroom on the 11th floor of the College of Humanities at Seunghak Campus. Faculty and staff from various majors attended the event.

During the event, Lee Jingyu (Department of Global Business), who was selected as a best lecturer, gave a presentation titled "Classes Where Students Think and Speak." Park Youngil (Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering), who was selected as an excellent lecturer, presented on "Ordinary Classes, Never-Give-Up Classroom."

In addition, Jo Hangsil (College of Liberal Arts) delivered a lecture titled "English Without Fear: Dare to Speak," and Jeon Hyungpil (Department of Physical Education) presented under the theme "Sometimes Retro Is Good."

Faculty members who attended the workshop commented, "It was great to learn so much, such as ways to increase students’ interest and concentration in class through various teaching methods shared by the professors," and "It was very helpful to learn how to address the areas that students in engineering fields find difficult." They also added, "We will strive to approach classes from the learner’s perspective, considering the learner’s level and tendencies."

The Professor Learning Development Center at Dong-A University will make the workshop presentation videos available through the "Dong-A University LMS Teaching Method Special Lecture" until the end of this month.
