Since the beginning of this year, Incheon’s population of infants aged 0-4 has increased by 411, and the population aged 30-39 has grown by 2,464. This is analyzed as a result of Incheon City’s expanded birth and childcare support, as well as housing and transportation policies that have encouraged settlement among economically active and child-rearing age groups.

Incheon has also maintained the highest birth rate increase nationwide since last year. In January of this year, Incheon recorded 1,547 births, accounting for 6.5% of the nationwide total of 23,947 births. This represents an 18.9% increase compared to the same month last year, showing the highest growth rate among metropolitan areas.

An official from Incheon City stated, "Incheon’s outstanding population growth is attributed to the results of Incheon-style birth policies such as 'i Plus 100 Million Dream' and 'Thousand-Won Housing.' We will continue to develop innovative policies for youth, newlyweds, and children."
