Earned 2.3 Million Won in Two Months from Side Job... Meritz Partners Captivates N-Jobbers

Earn Extra Income Without Time or Location Constraints
Chosen as a Side Job by Self-Employed Workers and Doctors

Ahn (42, female), who works in the beauty industry, has found it difficult to even pay her shop rent due to the economic downturn and high loan interest rates. She quit her part-time delivery job, which she had been doing occasionally, and started using the insurance planning platform 'Meritz Partners.' Beginning with redesigning insurance for her children, Ahn earned 2.3 million KRW over two months. She plans to continue this side job for the time being, as it provides additional income while allowing her to manage her shop work simultaneously.

As the number of 'N-jobbers' (people holding two or more jobs) trying various side jobs increases, the types of side jobs are also diversifying. Previously, options were limited mostly to delivery services or convenience store part-time jobs. However, recently, platform sales such as Meritz Partners, which allow earning sufficient extra income without restrictions on time and place, have attracted the interest of N-jobbers.

Earned 2.3 Million Won in Two Months from Side Job... Meritz Partners Captivates N-Jobbers

Meritz Partners is a new sales platform by Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance targeting N-jobbers. Unlike traditional agents who work at an office, partners can freely choose their working hours and locations. Simply reviewing and redesigning insurance products already subscribed to by themselves, family, or acquaintances can generate commission income, making initial income generation easy.

Those active on Meritz Partners earned an average monthly income of 1.48 million KRW as of November last year. Some earned more than 10 million KRW per month in additional income.

According to a survey conducted by Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance in November last year targeting 997 partners, 52% of respondents (251 people) cited "no restrictions on time and place" as the reason for choosing Meritz Partners over other side jobs. This was followed by "no pressure to meet performance targets" (22%) and "income was better than expected" (8%).

Another reason N-jobbers can easily approach Meritz Partners is that learning and contract signing can be conveniently handled via a dedicated mobile application and website. This eliminates the hassle of traditional insurance agents having to visit sales offices for face-to-face interviews and training.

Applying to become a partner is simple. Visit the Meritz Partners dedicated homepage, click the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom, and enter basic information. Upon application, a dedicated mentor provides one-on-one consultation, supporting everything from obtaining the non-life insurance agent license to contract signing in a one-stop process.

The mentors are experienced Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance professionals capable of supporting everything from simple inquiries to specialized insurance training. Meritz Partners offers various online educational materials, including video lectures, to help partners easily obtain the agent license. Considering that partners may find it difficult to meet customers directly, insurance analysis reports and short videos (shorts) explaining product sales are provided in URL format for customers. The mobile sales support system enables all stages of insurance sales activities, including product design, coverage analysis, subscription, and customer management.

A Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance representative stated, “Meritz Partners was created reflecting the rapidly changing social environment, including the diversified employment market after the COVID-19 pandemic and the trend of valuing self-consumption. A wide range of partners, from corporate employees to beauty shop owners and professionals such as doctors, are working as N-jobbers at Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance.”
