Pianist Baek Geon-woo Releases Second Mozart Album

Pianist Baek Geon-woo (78)'s album 'Mozart Piano Works 2' was released on the 13th by Universal Music.

This album includes well-known Mozart works such as Piano Sonatas No. 2 and No. 10, and organ pieces performed on the piano: 'Andante in F major K.616', 'March in C major K.408/1', and 'Fantasy in C minor K.396'.

Baek Geon-woo recorded and released a Mozart album for the first time in his musical career last May. He plans to release a trilogy of Mozart albums by next year, and on this day, he released the second album.

Baek Geon-woo stated, "This album will allow listeners to feel not only Mozart's familiar works but also a new perspective on Mozart's world."

He added, "Throughout my life, I have encountered many composers, and I have returned to Mozart. For me now, Mozart is a new challenge. In the past, my goal was to play in Mozart's style, but now I want to convey Mozart's music itself."

To commemorate the album release, Baek Geon-woo is scheduled to perform at LG Arts Center Seoul on the day of release, at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on the 20th, at Busan Citizens Hall on the 22nd, and at Pyeongtaek Nambu Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater on the 23rd.
